Adult Counselling

Group Work for Adults
We run groups at various times of the year. Usually we have a 6 week "Living with Loss" group which runs twice a year in the spring and the autumn, a "Baby Loss" group which runs over one day and is held a few times a year. We also held for the first time last year a "Bereaved Fathers" group that is due to run again in February 2011.
- Grieving is an interpersonal process which takes place in relationships.
- The groups held at the Laura Centre are a chance to meet with other bereaved parents and to share experiences.
- The groups are all facilitated by therapists but the emphasis is on self help and on the group deciding its own direction.
- Sometimes a group will eventually become un facilitated when it has run for some time.
We have tried to list some of the common questions. Click here.
