Leaving a Legacy

A legacy is one of the highest sources of incomes for many charities. Leaving a legacy will provide a perfect way towards funding for The Laura Centre to carry on working with bereaved families in the future.

It is always best to have your will made by your solicitor. Will writing is not complicated or expensive.

Types of legacies you can leave are:

A Residuary Legacy can be either a gift of the remainder (or part thereof) of your estate, or a gift of the whole of your estate.

A Pecuniary Legacy is a fixed sum of money.

A Specific Legacy is a gift of property, which may consist of a house, stocks and shares, a piece of jewellery or other items.

A Reversionary Legacy is a gift where your money passes to somebody during their lifetime before ultimately benefiting the charity.
