Childhood Bereavement Training
This is a three part training with an introductory day followed by an optional secondand third day. An application form can be downloaded from the download page

(NB Modules must be completed in order)
Cost - £120 per module (day).
NB Module 2 is only available to delegates who have completed module 1
NB Module 3 is only available to delegates who have completed modules 1 and 2
NEW MODULES 4 and 5 SUPPORTING BEREAVED CHILDREN
For people who have completed days 1,2 and 3.
These days include more experiential learning opportunities and include activities that can be used with children and young people individually or in groups.

New Course - WORKING WITH LOSS
A 6 day course in Therapeutic Bereavement Support Skills
Course Dates for 2012:
Fridays and Saturdays 25th & 26th May, 23rd & 24th June & 13th & 14th July
Course Aims
• To explore the use of therapeutic skills in bereavement support
• To introduce delegates to bereavement counselling either as early career counsellors or experienced counsellors
• To enable delegates to become familiar with the issues that arise in bereavement counselling through lecture, small group work, case studies and reflection
in their personal journal.
What skills will you gain?
By the end of the course delegates should be able to:
• Demonstrate their understanding of the difference between counselling and other forms of helping
• Demonstrate through role-play their knowledge and application of counselling skills in grief work
• Demonstrate an understanding of the differences and similarities in grieving adults, children, couples and families
• Identify the factors that can lead to a complicated grief reaction
• Demonstrate the use of discreet techniques in role-play grief work
